The founder

Built behind the lash bed.

Hi, I’m Joy — Korea-trained lash artist, educator and founder of AÉRA.

AÉRA grew from performing lash lifts and obsessing over the small decisions that change a result: processing, placement, eye anatomy, lash direction and rod geometry.

I created AÉRA to give artists products that make sense within the technique — and education that explains why they work.

AÉRA was created from a deep appreciation for the precision and customisation behind modern Korean lash lift techniques — perfected in South Korea’s beauty capitals and learned there first-hand.

Rather than relying on fixed timings, standardised rod choices or one-size-fits-all methods, our approach focuses on understanding the lashes in front of us — their direction, condition, anatomy and how each design will translate once the eyes are open. Precision and restraint over volume and drama.
